Except You.

Incense sticks fill the air
Your presence to feel is rare
I get goosebumps in my hair
Your glory is demon-slayer

Overwhelmed in your company
Graceful in thy presence
Blessed by you I become a saint
Without You I'm maimed

Who should I seek?
Except You.
Where should I go?
Except inside.
Who should I know?
Except me.
Who will bring peace?
Except You.

In You I Find Peace

Sit I here in silence
Sit I here to wait
For God's end of hate
God you are my fate

Rid me of my ignorance
Fill me with sense
Bring Me eternal peace
Touch me like soft breeze

I call you in distress
Forge you in pleasure
Make my mind thy home
Make my thoughts your abode

It is in you only I find Peace

Guest Post... 'The Doll' By Nikita Gupta

You are my doll,
Her grandfather said
As he kissed her cheek
And stroked her head.
She was his joy,
His object of affection.
He pampered her silly,
And loved her like none.
And as night came,
So did he,
Into her room
Where she lay asleep.
He touched her sweet, glowing face,
He held her body close to his
And then peeled off layers of clothing,
Standing in the way of carnal bliss.
Her naked flesh ignited desire,
He feasted his eyes on the heavenly sight.
Gently kissed her head to toe,
And then loved her through the night.
At eight, she was his favourite game-
A compliant companion to play with in bed.
Well, it's true, she was his doll,
Just like her loving grandfather said.

Guest Post... 'Longing' by Priya

Now, I no more hear or see the prints,
Its an empty bowl with not trace;
Then, it was trees filled with fruits,
Riped to taste the flavor all over the lips.

Now, the music is sad with unknown,
Left in lurch searching to drink;
Then, the room was filled aloud,
tapping the floors mystical rhyme;
Now, she sits alone close to the window,
As her hair lifts by the wind;
Then, she draped all beautiful and glitter,
To touch the rosy petals waiting to dip;

Now and then,

Time flies at day and night;
She never asks why,
And only the unknown knows.

The above poem is by very talented poet Priya. Her popular journal of poems is here. Priya's other blog is here. Both the blogs are highly recommended.

Lost Childhood 2: The Little Boy

i turned around from the 'beer shop'
unsatisfied with the pics clicked
i saw a sight and took some time
to comprehend the gravity of it
a young boy hardly a pre-teen
sat there in middle of busy crowd
collecting beer bottles in a rucksack
a sight so common you wouldn't even care
but his 'work' caught my attention
sat there he, collecting empty bottles
but also collected the last few sips
from each bottle left by the drinker
and emptied them into a single bottle
then quenched his thirst with the cocktail
half filled bottle like trophy he claimed
who's to blame for street urchin's state?
you or me? society or the shop-owner?
useless governments or high decibel NGO's?
a billion people can take the blame, but
who's to take the first step to stop him
will it be you or will it be me?

Lost Childhood 1: The Little Girl

just another end of frantic day
waiting at a over-cramped bus-stop
i darted at a near-by beer shop
to capture some engrossing snaps
but then she came like an angel
smiling, giggling, with a bruised face
i smiled back and asked her to pose
took some snaps to her bewilderment!
she looked at me with so much awe
her eyes told me she didn't had enough
i prepared to move beyond past her
her lips almost parted to say something
i could read it in her eyes~ an emotion
all she wanted to say was 'bhaiyya' (brother)
i didn't stop lest tears flow from our eyes

she disappeared in a blink of an eye
and our relationship met it's final fate
i moved towards the 'wine and beer shop'
the smell of various liquors intrigued me
the intoxicated and the sober stood in line
when a tall black guy tapped me at my back
with a big grin and sugar coated sweet words
asked me if i was looking for 'something'
perplexed i shook my head, puzzled
he pointed at 'the little girl' in corner
asked me if i was single or with friends
did i have a place or i wanted his?
at reasonable price he could give anything
i looked at the terrified girl's warm eyes
i could see in them her father was the pimp

Part 2 of this poem will be updated soon. the title of which is~
Lost Childhood 2: The Little Boy

Kindly go through this article. I read it in the Tehelka magazine. It's worth giving your time and mind. The article is about The Oberoi Brothers.

5 Blogs To Visit Before You Die!

Ladies and Gentlemen. Boys and Girls. Last month I gave you the incredible '5 Websites To Visit Before You Die!' Now here I am to present you with some of the most creative path-breaking mind blowing blogs. These blogs you may or may not have visited deserve your time and it's my promise that after visiting these you'll feel refreshed like a fresh air of spring! These blogs will win your love like they have done of countless other people!

This super-talented lady here from Australia is bound to overwhelm you. No amount of appreciation can really match the art she produces. A poet, philosopher, painter, photographer each of her posts is a tantamount to pinnacle of creativity both in form of colours and words. Her blog is an overflowing pot of love and peace. Buddhism is the guiding star and the underlining philosophy of all her creativity. In her own words she is: " Lover, Writer, Poet, Artist, Thinker, Photographer, Friend to all"

No matter how many adjectives I use it will always fall way short of all that I want to express about this blog. The blog design in itself is a masterpiece like a eternal painting on a canvas. Her paintings and musings is bound to enthrall and transport you to an altogether different dimension of existence. A riot of colours and tradition, of indian culture and religion. All mix and in synergy produce something so spectacular and you only wish you had such talent. All the ingredients of culture tradition religion talent creativity come together like different colour of rainbow to give you a out-of-this-world experience.

Everyone path breaking concept comes by breaking the status quo of the existing state of things. My blog isn't one of those I confess but this one is. It's said that imitation is the best form of flattery. My blog has a predecessor this is it. When I came across this blog years ago I decided this is the way my blog should be. I always try to match up the standard of poetry Priya has set in her blog. Enigmatic Priya is an artist with words. She paints the feelings and emotions with her beautifully woven words. This one is my inspiration. Visit and read for the feel-good factor!

Now this one is among the top blogs on earth and yes it deserves it to be. Everything about it is so Buddhist and simple. From the minimalist design to career and life changing posts this blog is your guide to life. This is a layman's guide to a happy and whole living. This blog has the power to transform you into a person with a conscious living! This blog was among the 25 top blogs of the TIME magazine.

To tell you the truth i don't like this guy much but yeah his blog is worth a view. To those who don't know Rakesh Jhunjhunwala in his own words is "Billionaire a Billion times over" and has statements such as "I’m Rakesh Jhunjhunwala. I’m The World’s 1062nd Richest Man." actually he is. You can spot him on various business channels giving interviews. One thing good about his blog is: it's hilarious! Check it out if you want to have a good laugh!

Happy Memories In Abyss Of Mind

in the above pic (from left): Nitish, Saumitra, Gautam.

Mind works in strange ways
Happy memories fade away
But the sad ones remain
Like dark clouds without rain

I was sitting with happy mind
Came happy memories from hind
I remembered how some friends
Had fought with me like comrades

Once my honour was at stake
Tears were near & happiness away
My days were full of much miseries
Mammoth enemies planned audacities

Tears brimmed in my eyes
How my friends risked their lives
Also honour and social stature
Everything on the edge for rupture

They held hands & stood by my side
Such fierce loyalty & unwavering love
Humbled I stood with infinite strength
How such memories fall in abyss of mind!

The East India Company Vs. India

I was there playing with butterflies
You came for me with guns and knives
I played with flowers, I played with bees
With a gun you said 'I wont let you be'
I smiled at you and gave you a hug
You pushed me aside & called me stupid fuck
I plucked a flower and lovingly gave it to you
Innocent Oblivion, What were you looking for?
'Power', you yelled 'I need your head to bow.'
Sit on your knees and give me respect
'Better die on foot than live on knees' I said
'Death before Dishonour', I stood with straight head
You said you had everyone on your side
That I'd rot alone with no shoulder to cry
Truth doesn't need yes-sayers it stands alone
'the truth shall set you free?' you laughed sore
With a sick propaganda you spread your lies
A gifted speech to impress the gullible minds
I stood with faith in my heart & I sighed
Deep inside me an inner strength replied.

It was the power of truth power of karma
Invisible yet invincible intangible yet intuitive
Great Power rose through whole body
For any force of the world I was ready
Your face froze, ground slipped beneath feet
Where are your lies? Where's your herd of sheep?
The Truth did set me free
Now, say can I play again with butterflies please?

*it's the feelings of 'India' when the east india company came to rule and enslave it.

If You Are Rich I'm Single!

I was checking this girl for a while
She used to pass and give me smile
I dreamed of making her mine
And one day proposed her in no time
She asked if her expenses i could afford
I smiled faintly and replied 'No'
'Don't waste my time please Go'

I had another girl in my mind
On whom I had laid on my sight
She'll love me she's so sweet & kind
To propose her next would be right
She asked me what car I drive
I said I was planning for a Nano
'Don't waste my time please Go'

Optimist me, I chose to re-attempt
A girl whose generosity knew no ends
She asked if I could gift diamond rings?
I said 'Your imagination has wings'
Can you take me daily to disco?
What happens there I don't even know
'Don't waste my time please Go'

Eight Blood Siblings

Just 13 Billion years ago
Our Milky Way was born
And 4.6 Billion years ago
Hydrogen & Helium condensed
With some solid dust particles
Molecular cloud condensed in itself
And our very own Sun took birth
Eight planets were hence formed
Trapped in orbits by gravity
Eight blood siblings tied by fate

If any of the eight siblings is moved
Our Solar System will falter
Such gravitational forces are at play
When our earth spins, it wobbles
Moon's gravity damps that yet
It moves away 3.8 cm/yr from us
Even the sun will die one day
6 Billion years from today

Our neighboring galaxy Andromeda
And 280 alien Solar Systems
Have been found out by us
May be we have friends on one
Universe' mysteries are ad infinitum.

5 Websites To Visit Before You Die!

Ladies And Gentlemen. Buckle up your seat belts, sit back because these websites are sure to throw you away in an all together new world with full throttle. May be you have visited a few of these ones or maybe not. May be you'll find them an utter waste of your time but they do deserve your attention. Have a look at them and spend time on it, I promise you the experience won't be regretful.

So here they are in no particular order the 5 websites you should visit:

All my adult life, i have been wondering about the Utopian society. Just, fair and equal to all. Which of the present structures are most suited for humanity? Capitalism, Communism, Socialism etc. How to integrate the differences existing in the society and give each human being a right to live his life with honour, dignity and freedom. As they say the problem is not solved on the same level it is created i found it here. This movement answered all my question and now i know the real workings of Corporates, World Bank, Bank and Financial Institutions, Religion, and above all the concept of money.

This will open your eyes to a world which is all around you but one you never saw.

This is creative people's heaven. An artists' goldmine and a treasure of masterpieces. It's that place on the internet where if you log in you'll realize that the world is full of creative and talented souls. The creativity of whom knows no boundaries and whose eyes see but beauty everywhere. I visit this site daily and yes i get lost. I lose the tracks of time. I wish i were transported through some miracle into their beautiful company or gain their expertise.

Okie Dokie this is a cheeky one but not one to be missed. I'm not much into crystal ball grazing but here it is zen tarot cards laid out for you! These tarot card reading are not phony i can assure you that. There are no spam ads nor are they killing you try their paid services. Take this when when you want to clear the haze and know what's going with you, against you and what's in store for you in the near future. I wish it could also predict questions for my engineering exams. Damn!

Here it is your guide to the oldest civilization in the world which has survived with unbroken chain. No fancy graphics no confusing site map. It is as simple as it can be. If you really want to know about Sanatana Dharma this is your one stop Wikipedia presented in a logical manner. A website for people looking for some serious material and about Hindu texts.

Through this website I came to know how our "trusted" companies like TATA and Nestle are fooling us and taking advantage of government's laxity. You should get registered at their website and know that these people are not screaming climate lunatics but rare and genuine people who are fighting for our rights and our planets. The causes we wont be interested to waste our 2 mins of precious time these people are going to jail for it. Risking their entire lives for you. They deserve your support.

The Girl With Polio

I see this girl in my college everyday
She's the one with polio and a walker tray
Each small step for her is a long journey
How slowly she passes corridor you must see

Still no hint of self-pity or apathy on face
Just some innocence and smiling grace
I look at her and wonder how she feel
People swiftly passing her so mobile
Jumping, running and brisk walking
But then she always has one friend
With whom all her time is spend

I pass through corridor and see the duo
Side by side at all times, in no hurry to go
The friend i swear is smart and beautiful
But I look at her, she's so simple and lovely
Like a guardian angel always with her only
They share a bond so deep it can only be felt
I feel it everytime I see them together and melt
She has all the patience to walk slowly, I dwell!

I kept observing and looking for them everyday
I noticed how the Polio girl smiled for her friend
A smile so true it gets beneath your skin for good
A smile so true in a world of fake ones is a sunshine
Her friend could have been making many friends
Running and howling in the corridors and fields
For some reasons angelic she acted as her shield!

I see them and mentally bless them both
I feel like an elder witnessing two nice souls
So much love i see, Oh God! bless me
I intent daily to go and talk to them
May be smile as I pass and say Hi!
Tell the polio girl it's OK and I care
And then turn around to her friend
Tell her I notice and see her everyday
Due to you I know what's 'Good Karma'!

What Am I Reading?

The past few days have been intellectually stimulating for me. Well they better be I finished reading 5 books. It makes me so happy to read. I am not a voracious reader but still I read to the limit i can push myself to read! It isn't as bad as it is. Here Are the 5 books which i have finished reading recently. They are:

1.Go Kiss The World
~Subroto Bagchi
Well sure some time has passed since finishing this one. Subroto Bagchi is one of the co-founders of MindTree. I had read many of his articles in many magazines and i was impressed to say the least. I had very high expectations which I admit the book didn't lived up to. I was keen to read on Bagchi's parents and his upbringing on which the articles were about. That part about the book about the parents was no doubt interesting but it is the details that get onto you.

It is a book for entrepreneurs and people in the corporate sector. The book has more of Bagchi's professional life and all the assignments which gets sketchy.

2.Angels And Demons
~Dan Brown
OK don't gape at me with full eyes but yes I'm pretty late at this one but finally i finish this never-ending one. I'm slow at Dan Brown i have noticed something makes me go slow at his novels and the thickness of them makes me go s.....l.....o.....w.....e.....r too!! But this was a nice one. I saw the movie right after I finished the book!

3.The Curious Case Of Dog In The Night Time
~Mark Haddon
I am in love with this one. The lead character Christopher Boone is an autistic kid and studies in a special school. He goes about to investigate the murder of his neighbour's dog 'Wellington'. But more important than the story is the way in which it is told. The chapters are numbered with prime numbers. Christopher who is gifted in mathematics and has special liking for prime numbers says:

"Prime numbers are what is left when you have taken all the patterns away. I think prime numbers are like life. They are very logical but you could never work out the rules, even if you spent all your time thinking about them."
and here's another one:
"I think people believe in heaven because they don't like the idea of dying, because they want to carry on living and they don't like the idea that other people will move into their house and put their things into the rubbish."

4.My Friend Sancho
~Amit Varma
I was dying to read this one. After all the rave reviews I read everywhere this was on my top list and thankfully i finally did it. I read this one in just two sittings interrupted by nothing but sleep and believe me it was unputdownable. The author Amit Varma is a blogger and a journalist and has used his book amply to promote his blog. The book in itself is full of humorous quotes and witty remarks which will make you laugh more than a dozen times and let me tell you if you've been thinking that this is a love story novel you need to read it to get your misconceptions removed.

5.The White Tiger
~Arvind Adiga
This one is very close to my heart for two reasons. ONE- The way Delhi has been described here makes it lovable to me. Especially when he tells about the book-seller in the PVR Saket market it almost gave me goosebumps. I was totally in awe of the book. He has shown the India in a way that i myself see India. The poor have been rotting in the Darkness while rich people are making a killing by living in the Light. This one is a well researched book and the way in which he describes the Bharat from which we are unaware of just gives you goosebumps. A very fine read indeed.

Hope you don't mind the randomness and lack of thought in the post!!

Currently Reading:
Autobiography Of A Yogi ~ Paramhansa Yogananda

Future Reading:
Diary Of Anne Frank~Anne Frank
Krishna~Osho
Surely You're Joking Mr.Feynman~ Richard Feynman

Wish To Read:
Keep Off The Grass~Karan Bajaj
The Case Of Exploding Mangoes~Mohammed Hanif

I can read anything I guess except course books!!

"Kaushik ek din teri achchai tjhe le doobegi"

"Kaushik one day your goodness will drown you"
-A very wise man who knows me and is known by the name of Gautam Dhameja.

WARNING: The following post contains convoluted self-analysis.. it is a cruel dissection with no rona-gaana about wicked fate and evil people. You may waste your time reading this as i am wasting time writing it! ;) okkk that last line i was just kidding!

As I rushed to meet my friend Gautam in Noida for a urgent crisis for which the clock was ticking faster than Bolt runs his sprints. I tried to be a good samartian and helped a passer-by in which as usual i made a fool of myself. (don't investigate further details its my blog and i ain't gonna tell :) )

I narrated the incident to Dhameja and he offered me the golden words of wisdom-

"Kaushik ek din teri achchai tjhe le doobegi"
Then a thought process complicated than a chain reaction and more explosive than the anti-matter ( just finished Angels and Demons) started in my head. It's proven beyond doubt that the "seedha-saadha" Parv Kaushik has always suffered in the face of "tez-tarrar" people. People often tend to confuse kindness with weakness ( yes i stole it from Swordfish when John Travolta says it to Hugh Jackman)

The seedha-saadha aadmi (SSA- THE SPECIES I CONSIDER I BELONG TO) is almost extinct now. It does not even figures in the endangered species list. Probably SSA is going to be in the next issue of 'Lost Species Of 21st century'. The characteristics of the SSA species are as follows:

1. These species carry a malfunctioning hereditary DNA of imaandaari "honesty" in them.
2. They are genuinely nice to everybody and fail to prioritize their behaviour in relation to the returns expected from other members of other species. (I call it 'selective affability')
3. These species as predicted by Gautam Buddha speak the truth and live the condemned life. They walk on the path of the truth and pay for it- Buddha.
4.They can easily be trapped and fooled once you present a rosy picture and behave nicely. SSA's are easily trusting hence the annihilation of the species.
5. Docile species rarely reacts even when it sees it is being harmed. People often see it as SSA's foolishness. ( which I'm afraid we are - foolish)
6.Will always fail in business bcuz thy will be too shy to ask for their own money.
etc. etc. etc.

Since I'm currently reading "The Curious Case Of Dog In The Night-time" by Mark Haddon let me analyse my kryptonite (seedhapan) the way the lead character Christopher would. Let me like Kaavya Vishwanathan's Opel Mehta chalk out steps to end my kryptonite and enter into the skin of normal human species to survive.....

WAIT.. WAIT.. WAIT..

DO I REALLY WANT TO?

Let me get this straight. I touch my heart and i ask myself... If I want to change? Can i change? I think the world is full of smart and over-smart people. It's OK being a fool. It's OK to trust people even when you know they don't deserve it. Trusting is important, people are not. A clean heart and a clean conscience is all i have and perhaps all i need. I look around at the insanity around me lifestyle addiction, politics, jealously, hatred, anger. I'm happy being a kid in adults world.

Yes I'm an SSA but yes i can say with my held held high that there ain't no person whom i cannot look into the eyes. Believe me I can. I did commit mistakes i did disappoint people but in my heart i know I'm pure. Let me suffer it's OK but somewhere deep down inside i know when Dhameja sleeps tonight he'll know they are still nice people around. There are people ain't mad after money, sex, power, fame.

I don't know how many would have left before reading and comprehending any of this stuff. At last i don't think i can change. Its a handicap may be. But if you ask my heart I'll happily renounce the material world for a clear conscience before i die if that's the price for it. May be I'll survive in this jungle may be i wont but i want to sleep tonight peacefully.

I Need A Miracle

My face covered with sweat
I'm so dizzy
The Heat by all accounts
Is not funny
A clean sky haunts my eye
Some obscure farmer ends his life
Sun has no mercy for the meek
Even the strong admit total defeat
I cry to rain God for some relief
This drought sends more grief

A dal for 100 rs. per kg
Judgement day i can foresee
For sin aplenty we are punished
Our coffins getting burnished
I wail.. I scream.. I cry aloud..
The government before God has bowed
They sit with their faces proud
High up in power corridors on clouds
How many will sleep hungry tonight,
And how many will party overnight?

I need an answer I need a miracle
Jokes Rain God's playing isn't satirical
When idiots sit in authority of humanity
When vanity overpowers their sanity
Will they help that obscure dead farmer,
Or will they keep dancing to wealthy charmers?
Big politicians feed us their daily lies
Will they ever care to hear our cries?
I need an answer I need a miracle
I need someone to answer my prayers.
