I have looked thru Honour
I have looked thru Beautiful girls
I have looked thru Power
I have looked thru Fame
I have looked thru Thoughts
I have looked thru Alcohol
I have looked thru Socialites
I have looked Everywhere.
This turbulent mind knows no peace,
This thirsty soul drinks from no pond.
I know not who I am,
I know not where I am.
I'm done with Dreams,
And Empty Illusions.
Save me Buddha, Death is near.
Free me before I die.

you write very good poems. this is great, :-)
If you know not who you are who wrote the poem ;)
Yeah Buddha is a way..
"I have looked unto myself" -- is that an understatement or is it a missing here,

Parv, Wonderful!
This turbulent mind knows no peace,
This thirsty soul drinks from no pond.
I loved these lines very much. Reminds me of Kabir's poems.
The picture goes well with the background.

@devika yes u r correct tht statement summarizes the poem but is left unsaid.. its the unsaid conclusion... we look outside for peace everywhere but inside!
@pushpeen thts the state i guess with almost all of us... all because we have been looking in the wrong way... peace is within.. we unknowingly are seeking it externally in the world..
@sathana thnx!!!

i think kabir and rabindra nath tagore both have been so expressive in the praise of lord tht one is compelled to slip into the religious mind...
tagore's gitanjali is one of the finest reads i have ever had!
